A little different than normal, but I have a weakness for black & white. Especially when its washed out and faded like these photos. You can see a few color versions here, on my CollegeFashionista post.

Apple Picking

Last year I didn't really get to experience fall weather. In Italy where I was living, things never got colder than 60 degrees. And I was 100% okay with that. I'm a summer baby and I loved being able to wear dresses and tee shirts even in November.
But this year, back in Ohio, I'm getting the best of fall weather. Leaves are changing, it's the perfect temperature for a light jacket and pumpkins are everywhere. I've never been a "fall-person" but this year I have a whole new appreciation for the season. And I'm doing everything possible to enjoy it to the fullest. It's just so gorgeous.
So I went to an apple orchard with one of my best friends, Mabel and her mom who was in town for the weekend. It was the best afternoon. These two never fail to make me laugh and we has so much fun running from tree to tree with our apple picker (which we thought was equally hilarious). I'll just say that there was a lot of tree climbing and jumping involved. We take our apple picking seriously around these parts. But really, if you're in the area, Dunlap Orchards is so gorgeous, Highly recommend!

Kentucky Vacation

Finally! It's taken me forever to actually get all of these pictures off of my camera and onto my computer. But I finally had some free time to put everything together in one spot.

This summer my family and I went on vacation to Kentucky Lake. It was a great week full of the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. We rented a boat and spend a day on the Lake (which is absolutely gorgeous in the summer!), visited Nashville, drove around an Elk & Buffalo reserve (look for the babies in the pictures), hiked a bit and really just spent a lot of time with beer & music in front of the campfire.
