Ugly Shoes

Just a quick outfit the other day. I went hiking with my best friend but it was a pretty easy park so I just wore my new favorite shoes: birkenstocks. I have also been loving taking this chambray with me everywhere. It's so worn that the elbows are starting to rip off, but I still wear it. Do you have any pieces like that? I just can't give it up.

Adventuring {Coney Island}

{Sweater: H&M | Vest: Vintage | Jeans: Gap | Shoes: ASOS | Watch: Buckle | Bag: JustFab | Necklace: Charlotte Russe}

One of the last things I did in NYC was visit Coney Island. With a few friends, I took the hour long subway ride to this Brooklyn neighborhood on the water. I actually love that the day I went was foggy and deserted. It gave the boardwalk and the park a really creepy, calm feeling. Something you don't experience everyday in the city. It was great being able to be by the ocean for a while && walk down the boardwalk. Definitely a must-see if you're in the city.

{TIP: The part is only open on Sat. & Sun. until the main season in the summer! Plan accordingly.}

Field of Flowers

Some of my favorite places to explore are botanical gardens. After learning of the huge Brooklyn Botanic Garden and it's infamous Cherry Walk, I knew I had to go. I took the afternoon with one of my friends, Amanda, and made the trip out to Brooklyn's historic district. Situated right next to the Brooklyn Museum, the gardens are in a gorgeous neighborhood. Forewarning: this post is super picture heavy. I cut it down as much as I could! This is a definite visit for anyone who enjoys springtime and colorful landscape.
