The Brown Wedding

Hi beauties. This past weekend I had the amazing pleasure of doing wedding makeup for this bride. Shelbe has been a long time friend (the going on 12+ years type of friend). Even when she moved away in middle school, her, Jenny and I have always stayed in touch. This Saturday she got married and she asked me to come and be her makeup artist! I was so honored and honestly, how hard is it to do bridal makeup on somebody who's already so gorgeous? It was a beautiful day and I love how her makeup turned out so here are a few snaps and some of the products I used. Enjoy!

Project 10 Pan + Reviews

I first heard about Project 10 Pan from Laura, back when she was still making YouTube videos. If you've never heard of it, it's basically a challenge to finish (or hit pan on) 10 products before you buy anything new. It's great for those of us who can't seem to stop buying beauty products, even if we have way too many.

I decided to do this recently and have finally hit pan on or finished 10 products. I thought I would tell you if I liked them or if I would repurchase them, now that I've used them up!

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+: Repurchase? Yes. This is my favorite high end foundation. The color range is amazing and on oily skin it's a great foundation. It stays matte for quite a few hours and has medium to full coverage, easily. The only thing I didn't like was that mine oxidized in the bottle after a few months, but I can look past that.

L'Oreal True Match: Repurchase? Yes. This is not at all similar to the Mat Velvet+ but it's my favorite drugstore foundation. Again the color range is amazing and it has great coverage. I used it in my Flawless Foundation Routine so you can learn more there!

Sephora Single Shadow (not sure of color): Repurchase? No. This is the only Sephora shadow I've ever had and I didn't like it. The pigmentation wasn't great and it was a little chalky for my taste. I would rather spend a little more money and get Urban Decay.
Urban Decay NAKED Palette: Repurchase? No. I love this palette, don't get me wrong, but there are some shades I almost never use. I will however, be repurchasing Sin and Naked. As you can see, I love those shadows. Sin was the first to go and I think I might have cried when it completely cracked out.
Bobbi Brown Corrector: Repurchase? No. I was so excited to try this light peach corrector. It's supposed to go under your concealer to counteract the blueness of under eye bags. It just did not have enough coverage for me. It works wonders on other people but I just am not in love (and as you can see, I really really tried to love it).

Mark Champagne Shadow: Repurchase? Yes. If I could. This is discontinued which makes me so sad because it was a gorgeous pigmented light shadow. If you have any dupe recommendations, let me know!

NYX True Taupe Shadow: Repurchase? Yes. This is one of the best eyebrow colors I've ever found. It's light enough for my skin but dark enough to make a difference. I also love how cool toned it is, so my brows don't look oddly red. I also use it as a normal shadow sometimes and the pigmentation is great.
Make Up For Ever Mat Bronze: Repurchase? YES. This is holy grail bronzer status for me. I believe mine is the 2nd lightest shade. If you're fair to light, this is AH-MAZ-ING. It never looks fake and it lasts so long. Go buy it. Trust me.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder: Repurchase? Yes. I've bought this probably 6 times now. It's great and inexpensive and so handy. I always buy translucent.

ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder: Repurchase? Maybe. This is a definite dupe for the NARS Laguna/Orgasm palette. It's not the greatest pigmentation, but if you have the patience to blend a lot and you don't want to pay for NARS this is a good option. I might splurge next time.

Smokey Bronze Eye {Makeup Tutorial Using the Naked Palette}

One of my favorite Christmas presents ever was the Naked palette, which I got last year. I use it almost every day and there are endless possibilities when it comes to the finished look you can create. One of my best friends, Alli, let me use her as a model. (She has the most gorgeous eyes, right?! Perfect for playing around with makeup). The smokey bronzed eye was inspired by this makeup look I found on Pinterest, but we decided to make it a bit more wearable. It's so easy to achieve, so keep reading!
STEP ONE: Prime your eyes or dap on concealer. It will make the shadow stick more! Sweep toasted all over the lid and into the crease. Use naked to blend out the edge so there isn't a harsh line.
STEP TWO: Brush sin into the inner third of the eye and around the tear duct area. Blend well.
STEP THREE: With a blending brush place darkhorse on the outer corner and up into the crease. Gently blend it out and pull it towards the center of the eye, so it creates a small triangle. If needed, use a bit of toasted to blend it out better. Add darkhorse the the bottom lashline, only on the outer two thirds.
STEP FOUR: Using a small pencil brush, lightly place creep in the outer-v. Don't blend it out as far as darkhorse, keep the color more concentrated in the very corner. Deepen the outer third on the bottom lash line with creep.
STEP FIVE: Finish with a bit of sin in the inner third of the bottom lash line as well as the brow bone. Add liquid liner and loads of mascara and you're done! Wahh-laa!

If you try this look make sure to send me a picture! Tweet it to me, put it on my facebook page or tag me on Instagram (@cassiedulworth)! I would love to see it.

Tumblr Crush Thursday

Hi loves! It's time for a new edition of Tumblr Crush Thursday!
This week I was definitely inspired my some gorgeous makeup looks on Tumblr. I can't wait for spring to roll around. Bright pink lips, frosty eyes and luminous skin are going to be huge this upcoming season. And have you seen the nail art?! Gorgeous.

In the week of January 7th (omg!) I've been crushing on:
Dramatic one way or another: bright and bold or nude and shimmery. And I love the confetti.
Do you have a tumblr? Send me your link! I love featuring my favorites every once in a while! And what are you inspired by this week? Have a happy Thursday!

The Scoop: My Makeup

 Hi loves!
Today I wanted to tell you about the makeup I love and use everyday.
I did a post on my skincare a little while back and it seemed to be fairly popular! I personally love reading what products other people love so I hope you do too.
Some of these things are new and some are old favorites but all of them have been in my makeup bag for at least a month.
I do use other things here and there but I wanted to show you what I couldn't live without!
Make Up For Ever Mat Bronzer: This is one of my favorites, and it perfect for anyone with a very light to medium skin tone. It has no red undertones, which is always the problem I found with bronzers. Definitely worth the investment, mine lasted at least 6 months.
Loreal True Match Blush: In the shade Rose, this is perfect for winter, giving me a glow without looking fake.
MAC Fix+: This was a recent present from my best friend Jenny, and I'm already loving it. I spray it on top of my makeup to give that last little bit of "dewy glow" before I run out the door.
Naked Palette: I got this for Christmas last year and haven't stopped using it. I bring it with me every time I travel and use it almost everyday. You can create everything from a natural look to a NYE smokey eye. I haven't tried the Naked2 but this one is great.
NYX Lipstick: Circe is my favorite nude. It's a gorgeous brown nude that is a little darker than Mac's Creme De' Nude. A $4 a pop, what's not to love?!
Maybelline Colossal Mascara & Lancome Artliner: My go to mascara+liner combo. This liner IS worth the money, as it draws amazingly and won't smudge. The mascara rivals some of my Sephora loves because of the collagen formula that builds amazing dramatic lashes.
Garnier Dark Circle Corrector: An under eye concealer that has caffeine in it, I use this when my eyes get puffy (oh yeah, that's everyday).
Almay Clear Complexion & Chanel Perfection Lumiere: I mix these two foundations depending on how tan I am, but that are both amazing. Medium to very full coverage and a matte finish that doesn't look powdery or dry. I can't go without at least one of these everyday.
NYX HD Concealer: (At the left edge of photo) This is one of my favorite concealers. I use the light shade as well as the yellow shade under my foundation. It covers all of my acne scar redness and created a perfect base for my foundation.

What are your everyday makeup favorites? Leave me a comment! I love finding new products.

Satisfaction Guaranteed.

Hi loves! Hope you week went well, and now you have the whole weekend to look forward to! I just got home for Christmas break so I'm looking forward to spending some time catching up with my long-distance friends and family. What are you looking forward to this weekend?!

I recently filmed a video all about products I've used up in the past few weeks. Some of them I loved and some definitely won't be repurchased. Watch below to find out!

Sometimes I just feel like talking in a video is more exciting than writing out a long post. What do you think?

Pearly Whites: Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips

Hi loves!
Today I want to talk about something very important to me. White teeth. This is the first thing I notice about anybody new I meet and something I've always been very conscious of myself. As a beauty junkie, it becomes very apparent to me when I stop whitening my teeth for a while. I can't wear certain lipsticks and my makeup just doesn't look as good.
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be selected by Influenster to try the Crest 3D Professional Effects Whitestrips. This is a program where you wear a set of Advanced Seal Whitestrips for 30 minutes, once a day, for 20 days straight.

I am in the middle of my program and I can already see a difference! Not to mention that my teeth aren't sensitive at all. I've tried other whitestrips in the past and had to stop after three or four days because it hurt too bad! These are my favorite kind, so far.
Remember...if you're not whitening you're yellowing!

I just wanted to let you guys know about this great product. I'll do a full review when I'm done with the 20 days, but so far I love these Crest Whitestrips.
Have you every tried Whitestrips or any other method of teeth whitening?
This product was sent to me c/o Influenster in partnership with Crest. I have not accepted $$ in exchange for writing this post.

When Life Hands You Lemons

Lemon Breeland Inspired Makeup
Hi my beautiful readers. I've been obsessing over Hart of Dixie lately (it's on Netflix!) and today I decided to show you how to get one of Lemon Breeland's looks!
The makeup and hair team for this show (mostly done by Corinna Liebel and Candy Walken, respectively) do an amazing job of keeping Lemon's looks similar. In almost every episode she rocks flawless porcelain skin and a bright lip.

How To!

MUFE foundation has an amazing range of lighter colors and covers everything magically. Brighten and conceal with YSL's cult favorite for a solid base.

Lemon never wears blush or bronzer that is really "visible," it always looks as if she has natural contour or rosy cheeks. This Tarte blush will last all day and give you the perfect "I'm-trying-to-pretent-I-woke-up-looking-this-good" cheeks!

Next are the eyes. Not one for dramatic shadow, Lemon always sports gorgeous lashes. A coat or two of my favorite mascara and this set of falsies (or the Ardell whispies) will do.

Last are the lips. The center stage. In this particular episode I lover her slightly darker red lip. Line and fill in your lips with the Cinnamon Dior liner and follow on top with the gorgeous YSL lipstick.

Ta-Da!
There you have it. This is a gorgeous look that can easily be worn everyday, even with the dark lips. I love how "southern" all of Lemon's looks are.
Let me know if you have tried any of these products before, or want to!

Do you like Lemon's flawless skin and deep lips? Or do you watch Hart of Dixie?! (If you don't, you should hehe).

Make sure to follow on Bloglovin' to keep updated on all things MMP! And all of my other platforms up top. (Instagram is my favie).

Tumblr Crush Thursday: Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving loves! I hope that everyone is taking today and spending time with friends and family while reveling in how lucky you are. If you even have a computer or phone on which you read this, you probably have a pretty blessed life.

Some things on Tumblr this week reminded me of why I am a truly lucky girl.
In the week of November 19th I'm crushing on:
Image 1: I'm thankful that I have a closet full of clothes that keep me happy and warm, even in harsh Ohio winters.
Images 2&3: I'm thankful that I have money to spend on my passion. That I can afford expensive makeup because it makes me happy. And that I have had true love--I know what it feels like to have someone who is there for you, to always make you smile, and put you first. Even if it wasn't a forever love.
Image 4: I'm thankful that I've been blessed enough to travel the world at such a young age, and more is to come. Not many people can say they spend years in Europe as a child.
Images 5&6: I'm thankful for the friends that accept me in all my goofiness, and are just as weird. It makes life fun...
...and the friends that have been, and will always, be there. No matter what. (1:2).
Image 7: I'm thankful that I can study fashion. And make a career out of what I love. And that I already have an amazing job that thousands of people would kill for. And the chance to work with a lot of other amazing companies as well, like CollegeFashionista (thank you, Amy!) and RenttheRunway.

Follow me on Tumblr for more amazing inspo! And follow on BLOGLOVIN' because it's an amazing way to keep track of all your favorite blogs!

No matter what you do or don't have, today is the day to appreciate all of the little things. I have an amazing family, group of friends and more. There is always something in life to be thankful for, we just have to take a minute and realize that.
I hope you have a wonderful day & break amazing readers! I am so thankful for you, too.
And from a Black Friday employee...try not to go too crazy tomorrow!

I don't even know how to start this post. I feel like my life is going at 200mph right now.
I have no time to sleep.
I have no time to eat.
I have no time to think more than 2 hours ahead.
And I love it. I am so thankful for everything I get to do already, from being a student, working for an amazing company (Tommy Hilfiger), TWO fashion internships and more. I'm one lucky gal.
Aaannyyyways. I guess that is my really long intro leading into me saying I'm sorry I haven't been posting as much recently! But. I Instagram. A lot. And because I can't blog as often as I would like, follow me here for more outfit posts/daily tid-bits!
